  Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is one of the world's oldest pharmacies and fragrance houses, founded in Florence in 1221 by Dominican friars. Its flagship museum at Via della Scala 16 in Florence has operated continuously for over 800 years. Today the Officina creates fragrances, skincare, body care and home preparations rooted in centuries of Florentine botanical knowledge.

• When can I visit the Officina in Via della Scala,Florence?

  The Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella at Via della Scala 16 is open to all visitors. Entrance is free and no reservation is required. Current opening hours are available on our website.

  Guided tours are not currently offered. However, our team at Via della Scala is always pleased to share the history, curiosities and stories behind the Officina and its preparations with anyone who wishes to know more.

• Do you offer appointments at the Officina in Florence?

  Visits to the Officina at Via della Scala 16 require no appointment and no reservation. Our team is present throughout the day and always pleased to welcome guests, share the history of the house and guide them through the preparations.

• Are the Officina's production facilities open to visitors?
