(01)Acqua della Regina was composed in 1533 for Caterina de' Medici, who carried it to France on her marriage to Henry, Duke of Orléans, the future Henry II. Italian citrus and petitgrain open the composition; neroli, rosemary, cloves and lavender form the heart; and musk forms the base, a structure both hesperidic and aromatic. It extends into preparations for the body and the home, part of the Firenze 1221 collection.
